Dynamic duo put out Phlamze

Dettol F.C. cruised into the second round of the MMU Cup with an emphatic 2-0 victory at MMU Stadium. The Black Wolves raced into a 2-0 lead before 2nd half thanks to some clinical finishing and poor defending. Dettol appeared to be little danger in the early game when last man defender, Wan had a foul at the edge of the penalty box for challenges on Phlamze striker. He luckily picked up yellow cards instead of red for the last man challenges.

The first decent chance fell to Dettol after a powerful 15-yard run by Syahfazat. Hamka's first time ball was perfectly weighted for the run of Syahfazat into the inside left channel and his powerful drive beat out the goalkeeper. They increased their advantage 15 minutes later when Shawn gave Phlamze a glimmer of hope when he shot home from Syahfazat's cross a minute before the break in first-half stoppage time. Shawn cut in from the left before beating Phlamze's goalkeeper with a fierce drive.

Dettol made a huge seven men half-time substitution after confidence with their 2-0 lead, taking off Sharvin, Shawn, Apa, Wan, Hafiz and Big Joe and replacing them with Roy, Ah Keat, Chua, Det, Mamut and Che Mad. Second round start with Dettol played comfortly stable at the back but lack of attacks. Last substitution was made and Hamka was being replaced by Noxs to give some boost for the team. Phlamze was tested for the third time in turning away a swerving drive from Syahfazat after Noxs had advanced towards the box unchallenged, but last-gasp tackle from Phlamze's defender saves their team from bad to worst. Noxs had the 2nd chance to go for his goal but he unselfishly attempted to tee up Che Mad, who misjudged the shot . Last attack from Dettol again came from Noxs when Syahfazat precised cross headed by Noxs inches off the bar. It was not the captain's day. Great performance by Dettol in the second part of the game.
